Philadelphia has had a very strong offensive line in this beginning of the season, a key weapon for that offensive line has been running back Brian Westbrook despite having a jammed knee in the past few weeks. It all came down to the final games of the season where we finally know the teams that will be in the World Series race. As for the New York Mets they finished there season with a win over the Washington 6-2, they had already achieved there playoff spot with there NL East title and with one of the best season records in the Major League. In the American League the story wasn’t too different like in the NL, The Minnesota Twins took home another AL Central championship on Sunday in there 5-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox. The Twins began the day tied with Detroit for first place, but they needed a victory and a loss from the Detroit Tigers to win the division title and clinch the playoffs. That was exactly what happened, the Royals completed a big comeback and beat the Detroit Tigers 10-8 in 12 innings. Now Detroit will have to face the mighty New York Yankees after they wasted there chance of winning the AL Central and clinching the wild card.
