Sunday Night Football Broncos vrs Patriots

There will be an atmosphere of revenge from the Pats this Sunday night, they will face the Denver Broncos team that ended the Patriots road to last years Superbowl. That game ended 24-13 in Denver’s favor, the Broncos forced four turnovers on that game and gave Tom Brady’s first postseason loss and the final of New England’s Championship run. QB Jake Plummer completed 15-of-26 passes for 197 yards with an interception, he became the first quarterback to beat Brady in the playoffs.

Brady threw for 341 yards in the game, and hasn’t had the best start of a season this year, he has completed just 50 percent of his passes for 383 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions. The Patriots have run the ball effectively with Corey Dillon and first-round pick Laurence Maroney. New England is third in rushing offense, averaging 165 yards per game.

Broncos QB Jake Plummer has received a lot of criticism this year, leading talks about first-round pick Jay Cutler possibly replacing him as a starter. He has guided the Broncos to just one touchdown and four field goals in their first two games. Plummer has completed just 52 percent of his passes for 311 yards and four interceptions without a TD, he is definetly feeling the heat from the outside. The last time Denver won in New England was back in 2002 with a 24-16 victory. Both QB will have to step up tonight and shrug off the criticism they have recently received. Live Odds for this game can be found at SkytowerCasino and Sportsbook.

NFL Sunday: Jaguars vrs Colts

Though they often play tough against Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts, the Jaguars can’t expect to hold a Super Bowl contender scoreless for a second straight week as they visit the RCA Dome on Sunday in a matchup of undefeated teams. The Colts (2-0) lead the NFL this season with 69 points and are third in total offense with 428.0 yards per game. In the other side Jacksonville (2-0) did shut down the defending champions in its most recent performance, holding the Pittsburgh Steelers to 153 total yards and nine first downs in a 9-0 victory. The Jaguars spoiled Ben Roethlisberger‘s return, intercepting two of his passes, and allowed Pittsburgh to cross midfield only once.

Manning’s performance the last time these 2 teams met at the RCA Dome was very poor. He had the fourth-fewest passing yards of his career with 122 and completed only 13-of-28 in a 10-3 victory last Sept. 18. Each of the last five matchups between these AFC South rivals have been decided by seven points or less, and the Jaguars have won two. Jacksonville offense will have to step up to the plate with there scoring they will have to better than the 9 points they scored Monday Night to beat the Colts. The Colts will be without kicker Adam Vinatieri, who will miss the first game of his 11-year NFL career because of a groin injury.

Who will take the Lead in the AFC? We’ll find out tomorrow, take your pick, check out Skytowercasino.com special promotions and the live odds for this and the rest of NFL games on Sunday.

UFC63 Hughes vrs Penn Tonight!!!

Matt Hughes has won 18 of 19 fights over the last 5-1/2 years. And the UFC welterweight champion is not one short on confidence or self-belief. But Hughes has a fresh memory of his loss to B.J. Penn back in ’04 at UFC 46. He knows he can’t make any mistakes in the Octagon against someone like B.J because there will be No Mercy.

Hughes was a huge favourite the first time out, some say he took Penn lightly. The result was shocking for many as Hughes found himself on his back and unable to escape. He eventually gave up his back to Penn who choked him out. Penn was on his first 170 pound fight, to add a little spice between the two Penn kissed a dazeled Hughes on his head and started celebrating his victory.

Now Hughes (41-4-0) has a chance to settle a score with Penn (10-3-1) in what promises to be an intriguing showdown between two dangerous fighters. The two will get it on again Tonight at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, Calif. in UFC 63. You will find the best UFC action at SkytowerCasino and Sportsbook. College Football Action Tonight!!!

Northwestern(2-1) will face off with Nevada(1-2) at Reno. Nevada won there first game of the season last Saturday against Colorado State and looking to keep the momentum to achieve there second win in a row at home this Friday Night 8pm est. Quiet the opposite for the Northwestern Wildcats who capped two-game homestand wins last one against Eatsern Michigan last Saturday. The Wildcats will not play at home until they play Perdue October 14th.

Mike Kafka is second on the team with his 164 yards rushing, has completed 62.7 percent of his pass attempts for an average of 118.3 ypg. However the team is last in the conference in total offensive yards and scoring (17.3 ppg). The team’s most accomplished receivers, Shaun Herbert and Rasheed Ward have combined for 24 receptions for 173 yards, but neither has made it into the end zone.

On the otherside Nevada’s Jeff Rowe finally seems comfortable within the offense as he converted 19-of-22 passes for 210 yards and a pair of scores. With only three incompletions, Rowe established a personal best with an .846 completion rate in the outing last Saturday over Colorado State. Caleb Spencer responded with eight grabs for 78 yards in the win, he averages of 5.8 catches per game, Spencer is second in the country in that department.

Northwestern can turn up the heat on defense when needed, but the Wildcats can also be caught off guard by opponents that they should beat. This might be one of those games for the visitors, expect Nevada to squeak by as Rowe and Spencer continue to produce. Check the live odds for this matchup, don’t miss the action. Not a member? Yankees clinch 9th Straight Division Title!!!

The Yankees began the day needing one win or a Red Sox loss to wrap up the AL East  and their 12th straight playoff berth. New York was beaten 3-2 in Toronto, but Boston’s game went final about 30 minutes later, a loss 8-2 to the Minnesota Twins. The Yankees became the second team to qualify for the playoffs, joinning the Mets who wrapped up their first NL East title since 1988 on Monday night. The race between the Red Sox and Yankees was close much of the season until New York swept a five-game series at Fenway Park Aug. 18-21, increasing its lead to 6½ games over Boston. The Yankees acquired right fielder Bobby Abreu in a trade with Philadelphia, while Boston was hurt with injuries and illnesses this summer. Abreu gave a major boost to the lineup when the team needed it the most. Last season, the New York Yankees clinched the AL East title with a win in Boston on the penultimate day of the regular season. Now the World Series is the Goal for this team, Title that has been denied in the last couple of years.

White Sox still in the hunt for October!!

The Chicago White Sox are keeping there hopes alive of being in the playoffs after beating the Detroit Tigers 7-0 last night. Both will face off again tonight with the same goal in mind the 06 MLB Playoffs. Chicago snapped a 4 game losing streak and are 4 1/2 games behind Minnesota for the Wild Card race. The atmosphere is not the best in Chicago after late rumours of a trade on pitcher Freddy Garcia, no final word on where could he end up. But Freddy is not letting these rumours affect his pitching and he showed that with solid pitching last night against Detroit, he retired 23 consecutive batters, struck out 5 and walked only 2 batters. In his previous start before last night he was very close on a Perfect Game a 9-0 win over the Angels he gave up one hit over the 8th inning in that game. Freddy has been answering those rumours with his pitching letting Chicago know the mistake they would be doing on trading Garcia. Garcia (15-9) his ERA has stayed around 5.00 this year and has helped the White Sox stay in the fight. That fight will continue tonight you can find the odds at Skytower Casino&Sportsbook.

Ballack OUT!!!

This sunday was promising a great clash between Chelsea and Liverpool, the game started at full speed and Didier Drogba scored a magnificent goal to get Chelsea the advantage at 41′, but after all this rough game as I predicted Michael Ballack at 52′ gets ejected from the game and he left his team in trouble, Liverpool attacked after that with pretty much everybody and they were amazingly close to tie the game just because Mr. Ballack decided to stamped on Mohamed Sissoko’s leg trying to get the ball. This inmature action almost cost the team a game that was very important, they had to defend the rest of the game just because this player decided to behave like a 5 year old kid. The 29 year old german did apologize after the game but for me it was a waste of time and money trying to get a player Chelsea didn’t need on the midfield, he hasn’t adapted yet to this faster and more competitive soccer style and I seriously doubt he will be of any help on Mourinho’s lines, personally I believe this player doesn’t have the quality to be there in the first place, he lacks on effort and that is something Chelsea’s players will have to have, they need to be hungry for titles and Ballack believes he’s still in Germany where he was spoiled by the best team there. I just hope he chages his way otherwise he will be looking to move from England at the end of this season…

Redskins vrs Cowboys

The NFC clash couldn’t get any better than this, Washington will visit Dallas looking to bounce back from there season opener defeat against the Minnesota Vikings. While Dallas also with a defeat will look to get on the winning track. The home fans will have there eyes on both QB Bledsoe and WR Terrell Owens, the first one will be looking forward on putting all the controversy about his game aside and giving better plays to his teammates. Drew Bledsoe had a poor game against the Jags last week threw for 246 yards, only 16 of 33 of the passes were completed and had 3 interceptions. The opposite of Bledsoe, T.O had a good game, he can play better, caught 6 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. Not all the blame of last week loss is on these 2 key players, some is also to blame on Jason Witten the tight end was flagged for a offensive pass interference on the 3rd quarter touchdown reception. On the other end Washington expects to have a better offensive game putting there hopes on running back Clinton Portis who recovers from a partially dislocated shoulder suffered during preseason. Portis had 10 carries for 39 yards and a touchdown last week as a backup. The Redskins will also be without safety Shawn Springs who is injured, though he does have a slim posibility of playing, this could give Adam Archuleta a starting role as safety. Washington swept the season series last year and expects to keep it that way this year.

Be sure to find live odds for this exciting matchup and much more at skytowercasino.com also look for the special promotions available on the website.
