Both the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets had high divisional hopes after making headlines during the offseason, but now they find themselves simply playing for pride with five weeks left in the season, and playoff hopes seemingly forgotten.
During their week 12 game, the New York Jets beat the Panthers 17-6, improving to a 5-6 season record. The Jets 2009 team leaders include; quarterback Mark Sanchez completing 151 passes on 282 attempts for 1945 yards with 10 touchdowns, Thomas Jones leads in rushing with 216 carries for 959 yards with nine touchdowns and Jerricho Cotchery leads in receiving with 37 receptions for 594 yards with three touchdowns.
Last week the Buffalo Bills beat the Dolphins 31-14, improving to a 4-7 season record. The Bills 2009 team leaders include; quarterback Trent Edwards completing 109 passes on 181 attempts for 1170 yards with six touchdowns, Fred Jackson leads in rushing with 143 carries for 601 yards with two touchdowns and Terrell Owens leads in receiving with 40 receptions for 659 yards with three touchdowns.
