The free agents season started last Friday on the MLB, and the New York Yankees was planning to offer a non-precedent contract to CC Sabathia.
The Yankees set a proposal for the left handed pitcher, which will exceed the $137.5 million contract and 6 years, the New York Mets signed with the Venezuelan Johan Santana.
This new offer will have no matches, so as in the amount as in the annual average, said one of the managers.
The Yankees general manager, Brian Cashman, will be sending the offer to Sabathia agents in the next following days.
