lance1 The wrath and the resentment are the motor of Lance Armstrong

The wrath and the resentment are both motor of the cyclist Lance Armstrong, seven times winner of the Tour of France, according to their sport director Johan Bruyneel, who explains in one long interview to a Belgian newspaper.

“First I thought that he was crazy”, declared Bruyneel with reference to the decision of the North American to return to the competition in 2009.

“He always has found his motivation in the wrath and the resentment. And I must say that if he wins will be pleasant, there’s nothing else pleasant that do it when everybody wants you  to lose”, considered Bruyneel, who spoke occasionally of his book in flamenco language “Alleen winnen telt” (Only the victory counts).

The Belgian coached the American cyclist in his seven victories in the Tour of France (1999 to 2005), limited the controversy generated to France for the return of Armstrong.

“If you remove “the France Island” from this context, all the problems disappear. Australia, U.S.A., Italy, Belgium, all these countries indicate the same enthusiasm about the return of Armstrong”, affirms.

About the partnership with the Spanish Alberto Contador, winner of the Tour of France in 2007, Bruyneel said that “we have a principle in the equipment: we always roll for the best”.
