During their NFL week nine game, the New Orleans Saints beat the Panhers 30-20, improving to a perfect 8-0 record. The Saints 2009 team leaders include; quarterback Drew Brees completing 181 passes on 265 attempts for 2336 yards with 17 touchdowns, Pierre Thomas leads in rushing with 83 carries for 455 yards with five touchdowns and Marques Colston leads in receiving with 37 receptions for 596 yards with six touchdowns.

Last week the St. Louis Rams had a bye. They have a 1-7 season record. The Rams 2009 team leaders include; quarterback Marc Bulger completing 95 passes on 170 attempts for 956 yards with three touchdowns, Steven Jackson leads in rushing with 165 carries for 784 yards and Donnie Avery leads in receiving with 22 receptions for 286 yards with two touchdowns.
