Looks like Guantanamo Bay prison will be close by the elected president Barak Obama ,he said to the news channels that “  America and Americans do not torture people” he said that it will be, one of his goals for his campaign as president of the United States of America, still he’s  working with his work team on the creation of  a new hybrid justice system for prisoners that currently held at Guantanamo and who would  face prosecution in the us,  contrary to those who will be repatriated or sent somewhere else once the facility closes.

Now the pressure from human rights defenders and civil liberties groups can be felt already, they put pressure for the new administration to close Guantanamo Bay and end with the military commissions on day one of Obama’s administration, groups such as “The American Civil Liberties Union” who advertised in the New York Times saying “Give Us Back the America We believe in” group that right now is working  with another affiliated  named  the “Brave New Foundation”, to run short video clips on Guantanamo.

 As a believer of peace and living on a country that don’t even have army because of the same reason we are peace makers, the idea of closing that monument to torture, pain and humiliation, we celebrate and support the idea of  closing the facility , seems like finally the United States will do actually what they preach, things such a human rights and human respect and finally stop with things that most of us saw on tv or internet that were shown to the world by all news channels till today things that are not a secret for anybody, discrimination, disrespect for human kind and tortures  are well known that happen in Guantanamo  just like some other countries in the world that I rather mention, but we all know who they are, where killing people, humiliating, and torture is their bread of each day and with that, traumatize the whole wide world, countries where values such a equality ,respect for human life, do not count for nothing. Well looks like a great proyect to us in this side of the world, hopefully they do close it and with that, the winner will be everybody and without a doub for the benefit of human kind and like this groups said to “make America believe again”.
