It’s the second Thursday night game in a row for the North Carolina Tar Heels, and it’s hard to imagine this one against Virginia Tech going any worse than last week’s did against Florida State.

Last week the North Carolina Tar Heels lost 30-27 against FSU. They have a 4-3 season record. The 2009 Tar Heels teams leaders include; quarterback T.J. Yates completing 108 passes on 183 attempts for 1028 yards with seven touchdowns, Shaun Draughn leads in rushing with 111 carries for 481 yards with one touchdown and Erik Highsmith leads in receiving with 19 receptions for 295 yards with two touchdowns.

During week eight the Virginia Tech Hokies lost 28-23 to Georgia Tech. Their record slid to 5-2. The 2009 Hokies team leaders include; quarterback Tyrod Taylor completing 68 passes on 118 attempts for 1154 yards with nine touchdowns, Ryan Williams leads in rushing with 140 carries for 834 yards with 10 touchdowns and Jarrett Boykin leads in receiving with 21 receptions for 367 yards with three touchdowns.
