The Monday Night Game features NFC South rivals New Orleans hosting Atlanta. This will be a great game and will feature a lot of scoring. Both QBs will have a big game and this will be a back and forth shootout. This is the third of three big divisional games this weekend. The Falcons are still in contention for the South, but just barely. With a loss this weekend, they’ll probably have to be content to fight for a Wild Card spot. In addition to driving a nail in that coffin with a victory, the Saints could could take a big step towards securing home field advantage throughout the playoffs as New York and Minnesota both face tough road battles.
Somehow, New Orleans still hasn’t won a game by less than 12 points. An aggressive and opportunistic defense is forcing three turnovers a game, while the offense is averaging 39.7 points each time out. Throw in a rowdy Super Dome crowd, and things don’t look real promising for Atlanta. Their shot is to try to control the clock with Michael Turner and harass Drew Brees into mistakes like Miami did last week.
