When the 2009 schedule came out, this looked like an early battle for NFC South supremacy. Now, its still very early, it looks more like a chance for the Falcons to step over the Panthers.
Atlanta got a nice win last week, knocking off the Dolphins 19-7. Carolina on the other hand, turned the ball over seven times and got blast at home. It’s probably too soon to give up on the Panthers, but there’s very real cause for concern. Jake Delhomme has now thrown nine interceptions and lost two fumbles in his past 22 drives. John Fox says he’s still the starter, but that’s probably exactly what the Falcons want to hear.
