The Nittany Lions will be looking to avenge that tough loss last season when the No. 22 ranked Hawkeyes make the trip to Happy Valley on Sept. 26.

The Hawkeyes broke the Nittany Lions’ hearts last year, minimizing Penn State’s national title hopes in Iowa City. So you can bet the Nittany Lions have this one marked on their calendars. Iowa coach has given Penn State fits over the years, but the Hawkeyes might be walking into a different history this year. The game is set for an 8 p.m. start, and those night games in Happy Valley can be real nightmares for visiting teams.

In another game where homefield advantage sets the difference, Penn State hosts top 20′s team Iowa in the Big Ten opener for both squads. By Week 4, Daryll Clark and Penn State should have the passing game figured out after losing three senior starting wide receivers, while Iowa will know if Jewel Hampton is the answer to replace Shonn Greene. In a typical Big Ten battle, points will be hard to come by and most of the yards will come on the ground.
