The North American athlete Lance Armstrong is ready for the Giro d’Italia but he assures he is not in the best shape to win the competition; therefore the favorites will be Ivan Basso or Di Luca.

At the beginning of the year he was feeling good to fight for the victory but the injury suffered on the first stage of the Castilla and Leon Tour put him away to be in the best shape for the Giro.

Armstrong stated he will feel very disappointed if he not wins at least one of the stages of the Giro. He said he will feel better every day and he will get in the best condition for his main goal, Le Tour de France.
