The 134th edition of the Preakness already has a list of contenders, Mine that Bird will be facing the greatest challenge now that the status has improved from LONG SHOT to real contender to the triple crown. The trainer Bennie Woolley feels confident that his horse has what it takes to take the second race, the field won’t be as populated as the Kentucky derby so that might give the horse some room to give us a new surprise.

The list might suffer some small changes but the scenario is pretty much set, ready to give us another magical afternoon of horse racing.

Pimlico Race Course is located in Baltimore, Maryland and the main track is DIRT with 1 mile oval form and 7 furlong chute. The length of the stretch from last turn to the finish line is 1234.5 feet, the width 70 feet. This race track is considered a NATIONAL TREASURE and it holds a lot of memories since they opened on October 25th 1870.

Let’s hope mine that bird can make it on the second race so both, jockey and horse can go to the Belmont Stakes with a huge chance to win the Triple Crown, so my prediction will be MINE THAT BIRD.
