Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Heath Ledger are who everyone is talking about for this 2009 Oscar’s. An exact year after his death Ledger was nominated for a Academy Award for his role as supporting actor in the movie Dark Knight, he will have to face Josh Brolin (Milk), Philip Seymour Hoffman (Doubt), Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road) and Robert Downey Jr. (Tropic Thunder).

Angelina Jolie was nominated for Best Actress for her role as a desperate mother trying to find her lost son in Changeling but she’s got real competition as Anne Hathaway already beat her at the Golden Globes with Rachel Getting Married and will also have to face Meryl Streep (Doubt), Kate Winslet (The reader) and Melissa Leo (Homicide: Life on the Street).
As for dearest Brad he will have to beat Richard Jenkins (The Visitor), Frank Langella (Frost/Nixon), Sean Penn (Milk) and Mickey Rourke (The wrestler) if he wants to go home to Babies Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox with an Oscar statue for his role of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

As for best picture award the fight is between: Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, Milk, The Reader and Slumdog Millionaire.
