New Kids On The Block (NKOTB) are back!!!!

Early this morning we got to see them performing live on NBC’s Today Show at the Plaza.
For all of us NKOTB die hard fans during the 90’s it was a delight.
They started with a potpourri of the classics and then performed a couple of full songs.
It has to be said they looked phenomenal!!! Even little Joey who, for my taste, wasn’t aging very well, but this morning he looked and performed wonderfully.
I noticed they have even planned concerts already in New York, that’s great news :)
We’ll be waiting for new material and wish them the best of luck on this new project of the not so much of kids anymore, yet very talented, handsome New Men Of The Block!!!

All about Formula 1

Formula One, abbreviated to F1, is the highest class of open wheeled auto racing defined by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), motor sport’s world governing body. The “formula” in the name is a set of rules which all participants and cars must meet. The F1 world championship season consists of a series of races, known as Grands Prix, held usually on purpose-built circuits, and in a few cases on closed city streets. The results of each race are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for drivers and one for constructors.

The cars race at high speeds, greater than 320 km/h (200 mph), and are capable of pulling up to 5g in some corners. The performance of the cars is highly dependent on electronics, aerodynamics, suspension and tires. The formula has seen many evolutions and changes through the history of the sport.

Europe is Formula One’s traditional centre, all of the teams are based there and around half the races take place there. However, its scope has expanded significantly in recent years and Grands Prix are now held all over the world. Events in Europe and the Americas have been dropped in favor of new ones in Bahrain, China, Malaysia and Turkey, with Singapore scheduled to hold the first night race in 2008 and India being added to the schedule starting in 2010. Of the eighteen races in 2008, nine are outside Europe.

It is a massive television event, with millions of people watching each race in two hundred countries. As the world’s most expensive sport, its economic effect is significant, and its financial and political battles are widely observed. On average about 55 million people all over the world watch Formula one races live. Its high profile and popularity makes it an obvious merchandising environment, which leads to very high investments from sponsors, translating into extremely high budgets for the constructor teams. Since the last decade, several teams have gone bankrupt or been bought out by other companies.

Ryan Perrilloux kicked out of the team!!!

It looks like Ryan Perrilloux’s up and down career at LSU is over.
LSU QB Ryan Perrilloux, has been kicked off the team.
He has had legal and disciplinary problems throughout his college career, Les Miles, LSU coach said “Ryan was given every opportunity to be a part of this football team but in the end, he didn’t fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete”.
Some of teh grounds of decision are based on the following sittuations: Perrilloux was suspended by the Tigers last summer and was on the fringe of a counterfeiting investigation also was caught trying to enter a Baton Rouge casino with false identification.
He also was involved at a nightclub incident in November, but was cleared of wrongdoing.
He was suspended for spring practice for being late for a team meeting. He was re-instated to the team for the last week of spring workouts, but was not allowed to practice.

Perrilloux made the trip to the White House when the 2007 national championship team was honored. Perrilloux was named the Most Valuable Player of the SEC Championship game when LSU beat Tennessee, one of two starts he made last season.
Miles said he “wished his family nothing but the best in any future endeavors” and for Ryan to finish out the spring semester at the school.
His departure leaves the position wide open, as Andrew Hatch and Jarrett Lee were the only scholarship quarterbacks during spring practice. They will be joined in summer workouts by incoming freshman Jordan Jefferson, a four-star prospect from Destrehan, La.

The Iceman out of the UFC 85

The main event of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s return to London on June 7 hasn’t found the day all that lucky. The promotion on Monday announced that one half of its headlining bout, former UFC champion Chuck Liddell, had to withdraw due to a severe right hamstring injury.

Liddell was originally slated to face former Pride Fighting Championships champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. His opponent was later changed to Rashad Evans when Rua had to withdraw due to a knee injury.

Now, with Liddell out of action for the foreseeable future, it is Evans that is left waiting and wondering.

Evans expressed his disappointment that Liddell had to withdraw from the bout. He did, however, state that he does want to remain on the card, hopefully avoiding a rather long layoff.

Although Sherdog.com is reporting that several sources indicate James Irvin – who recently knocked out Houston Alexander in just eight seconds – is considered the frontrunner to face Evans, the UFC has not named a replacement.

“Unfortunately, Chuck Liddell tore his right hamstring during training last week, and being the warrior that he is, he still wanted to fight, which is the reason why everyone in the world loves him,” said UFC president Dana White. “But I wouldn’t let anyone fight with his leg looking that way. Let him heal and come back and fight when he is 100 percent.”

It will be difficult for the promotion to put together another headline bout with as much drawing power as Liddell carries into a bout. The UFC intends to make up for that by loading up UFC 85 with 13 bouts, which is the most that it has had on one fight card in more than a decade.

“We’re adding fights to the card and rearranging it so the UK fans won’t have to worry, we’ll still be bringing an amazing card to London and the O2 Arena,” said White.

Jay-Z and Beyonce got married!!!!

Although they have been denying it it was confirmed by several online magazines that they filed their wedding license, all signed and ready. So, confirmed, THEY GOT MARRIED!!!!
The wedding took place in New York earlier this month, and according to the expectations from the media, the event was a very private ceremony in wich all participants were asked to be dressed in white.
We still don’t understand the reason why the couple has decided to keep the secret because as you can see the entertaiment industry always find their way to the truth… or whatever.

MOTHER EARTH’S DAY !!!!

On April 22, 1970, 20 million people across America celebrated the first Earth Day. It was a time when cities were buried under their own smog and polluted rivers caught fire. Now Earth Day is celebrated annually around the globe. Through the combined efforts of the U.S. government, grassroots organizations, and citizens like you, what started as a day of national environmental recognition has evolved into a world-wide campaign to protect our global environment.
Hopefully this tradition stays with us for a very long time days like these, when many different cultures join together as one for on main reason , “ TRY TO PROTECT THE PLACE WE LIVE IN” Too day is not earthday everday as supposed too but probably the blue planet feel good , around the world people plant trees and try to help by , recycling and not contaminating .

This time the host for World Environment Day 2008 will be New Zealand, with the main international celebrations scheduled for Wellington. The slogan for 2008 is “CO2, Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon economy.”
The day’s agenda is to give a human face to environmental issues; empower people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development; promote an understanding that communities are pivotal to changing attitudes towards environmental issues; and advocate partnership, which will ensure all nations and peoples enjoy a safer and more prosperous future. World Environment Day is a people’s event with colourful activities such as street rallies, bicycle parades, green concerts, essays and poster competitions in schools, tree planting, as well as recycling and clean-up campaigns.

I guess that we all have to insted of say happy b-day mother earth should say sorry for what we’ve done to it,but with this celebration millions of trees will be plant around the world to contribute to save The planet.

THE ROAD TO MOSCOW 2008

The final at Moscow for the UEFA Champions league gets closer and closer, here is a close look to the last four teams involved in the competition …

LIVERPOOL VS. CHELSEA

The first leg of this series offers a great game between the best coach against a constellation of stars without direction. Liverpool has been successful enough under Rafa Benitez in this competition, they will need to do exactly what they have been doing so far to be able to beat a Chelsea full of big names but without a doubt a total mess when it comes to this tournament. it seems to me that big names won’t do the trick this time and the talented Benitez will be once more at the final, showing everybody how to do it. The first leg in Anfield Road will be won by Liverpool easily, the second leg at Stamford Bridge next week will be attractive enough but Chelsea won’t complete the assignment. Result: LIVERPOOL WINS THE FIRST AND TIES THE SECOND.

BARCELONA VS. MANCHESTER UNITED

Now this is the series everybody has been talking about, it looks like Manchester United will eat Barca alive at Camp Nou, and they will spit them back at Old Trafford, Manchester United is too powerful for a team without a strong coach, Barca have had problems in the past but now the big names will not be enough to cover for them, it seems that way at least. Ronaldinho will not be in the line up nor on the bench which proves that the coach just lost his mind and he doesn’t want to keep his job. It will be a MAN UNITED victory and they will go to Moscow as big favorites.

As you have noticed three out of 4 teams are from ENGLAND PREMIERSHIP which tells me wher is the best soccer been played at, Spanish primera liga’s level is so low that a mediocre team like Real Madrid will be champion ONE MORE TIME, Italy still coming back from the scandal last summer hasn’t been able to match the great football these english teams have shown.

If you want to know more about these and other soccer game odds feel free to visit us at SKYTOWER SPORTSBOOK&CASINO.

British Airways wants Naomi back??????

Well that’s what the model is saying now!
She reportedly said in an interview that she was still very upset for the lack of professionalism she was given that last time she flew with them, and claims a representative from British Airways contacted her and asked her to please continue to use their service.
British Airlines were contacted and they said they are not aware that anybody in the company was asking for Naomi’s bussiness and that up to today they are still denying any responsability in the case when the model attacked (spit on) a British Airways employee.
The whole discussion started when one of the bags of the model got lost by the Airline and the model started a big fuss at the airport.
We’ll see what happens….

Federer and Nadal, two charismatic players.

Federer and Nadal, two charismatic players.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are the two best tennis players of the world. Switzerland and Spain pride and also two of the loveliest players on the courts.
Fans are always waiting outside the courts or stadiums to catch their idols and try to get a hand shake or an autograph in order to get a lifetime relic.
These two extraordinary players have their two feet on the ground, away from pride and triumphalism. One or another received love and respect because of their naturalism selfless actions.
It will be great if most of the athletes can have that skill to keep the humbleness and always remember where they come from no matter how much money they earn making what they love.
Probably that humbleness is what helps them to be on the top of the world.
